☕️ To the caregivers who show up even when you’re running on empty — this is for you.
A new report from The Guardian shines a light on what so many of you live every single day:
➡️ Most nurses are still going to work while they’re unwell.
➡️ Stress is the number one reason why.
If this hits close to home, you’re not alone. And you shouldn’t have to carry it alone.
Before you keep scrolling, take 30 seconds:
✨ Place a hand on your chest
✨ Take one slow breath
✨ Ask yourself: “How am I really doing?”
Your answer matters.
You matter.

I'd love to hear from everyone on how they deal with stress. I struggle with it myself. Sometimes I just need to step away but I know I can't.

Thanks for sharing Charles. It’s so true. The nurse leaders and their teams - I work with every day - are doing their best to take care of the ones they serve professionally, the ones they serve personally, and themselves. It’s a daily juggle for sure.As for me and what I encourage my clients to do is to make time. The very first thing in the morning, before coffee, before scrolling before kids (if possible) set aside, intentional time for a meditation or mindfulness practice.I’ve been meditating for 20 some years and it’s a nonnegotiable for myself and my husband. Even five minutes can change how we see and experience ourselves each other and the day.Lots and lots of science behind meditation and mindfulness. ❤️
