I read this article. It got me thinking. How do different generations approach the workplace? Especially in senior and post acute care. How do you all see different generations act at your jobs?https://www.mcknightsseniorliving.com/news/understanding-generational-differences-can-increase-worker-productivity-retention-expert-says/?utm_source=marketing&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=NWLTR_MSL_DailyBriefing_102425&hmEmail=&sha256email=de015b2eab727ea324e974f87b62ba10d1977588ce89127b35410f327937ce7b&elqTrack=True
Sometimes it’s the smallest moments that keep us going — a resident’s smile, a coworker’s extra hand, or a simple “thank you” at the end of a long shift. Share a moment of kindness that reminded you why you show up and care every day.
Example Post:
“Yesterday one of my residents handed me a handmade thank-you card after I helped her FaceTime her daughter for the first time. It took two minutes out of my day, but it made hers — and honestly, it made mine too. 💕”
Your story might remind someone else why they chose this work. Drop your moment of kindness below 👇
Many of your employees could be caring for family members with dementia
💜 Many of you show up every day to care for residents as your profession. But for some, caregiving doesn’t stop there — you may also be caring for a loved one with dementia at home.
We want to hear from you:
👉 Are you also a caregiver to a family member?
👉 What challenges do you face balancing both roles?
Your experiences can help others feel seen, understood, and supported.

Hey everyone- I know immigration politics can be a controversial subject, but in these articles we never hear from the front line careforce on what they think or what they are experiencing from their perspective. Know was built to help give you a voice so we would love to hear your (constructive) opinions or what you are experiencing on the front line.

Just like every animated hero needs a sidekick, we all need someone to lift us up — during tough times, tough shifts, or those moments when we’re just feeling low.
One of the biggest things we’ve learned from chatting with caregivers is how essential a strong support system really is — especially in work that’s both challenging and emotionally draining.
So… who shows up for you? 👇
💬 Tag that person.
💜 Send them some love.

✨ Get to Know the Team Behind KNOW! @Charles Turner ✨
👋 What’s my role?
CEO of KARE (I also dabble as our Marketing Intern 😉)
💡 Why am I passionate about KNOW?
“I can’t wait! I’ve been in this industry a long time, and it boggles my mind that the folks who provide direct care to residents, patients, and those in need have no digital home.
We want to give them a voice, a community, and a path for personal growth. Know is going to be amazing!”
😂 What do I do in my free time?
“Mostly try out bad jokes on my family — whom I adore. Beyond that, I don’t have a lot of free time (and I sort of like it that way!).
But when I do, I spend most of it bugging our software engineers to work faster so we can create an amazing experience for our Know members.”

✨ Team Spotlight: Behind the Dream at Know ✨
Meet @Katie Rhone — one of the powerhouse minds bringing Know to life! 💫
🧠 What’s your role with Know?
“I’m the ring leader who gets to connect with every part of our amazing team — from marketing and branding, to design and user experience, to spreading the mission and vision of Know by KARE to partners across the country. My job is to help weave it all together so the careforce gets the very best platform possible.”
💡 Why are you passionate about building Know?
“Back in 2022, when KARE launched the HERO Love Journey, we saw just how powerful community can be. Caregivers came together in cities across the country to be celebrated, to connect, and to be reminded of their value. But we couldn’t reach every city — and that’s where Know comes in.
I’m passionate about creating a digital home where the careforce can shine, be heard, find new opportunities, reclaim their power, and build lasting community together.”
🎨 What do you like to do in your free time?
“I’m all about exploring new experiences — especially with my family (I’ve got two teenagers who keep life fun and full of surprises!). I love food, art, and cultural adventures, whether it’s traveling somewhere new, boxing to recharge, or getting outdoors. Concerts, events, and anything that brings people together always energize me — I thrive on connection both at work and in life.”

🆘 “When there’s no one to care, who’s left to help?”
That stark reality is what Know by KARE is designed to solve.
According to a recent survey of Pennsylvania hospitals and nursing homes, over 2,600 care providers are currently missing, with an anticipated annual shortfall that could reach 20,000 per year by 2032 — meaning your community, your patients, and your teams continue to struggle without the support they deserve.
That’s where Know by KARE comes in. We want to:
✨ Empower the Workforce
Whether you’re a nurse, therapist, or caregiver, Know helps you keep track of your training and credentials (coming soon!), access career growth tools, and connect with mentors who truly understand your journey.
✨ Bridge the Gap
Unique to post-acute care, Know connects you with job openings, recognition, and fill-in support — right when and where they’re needed most.
✨ Build a Community That Cares
Because no one should face short-staffing or burnout alone.
